THE STORY BEHIND THE
Milford
As the “Golden Age” of Greenwood Lake roared and the area continued to position itself as “the place” to spend a vacation, the Milford, Arlington, and Anita were added to the steamship line. Each carried 100 passengers. During the season, from April until early November, these boats were kept busy, filled to capacity.
Once guests arrived at their destination it was time to kick back and relax after a long journey. The simple pleasures of canoeing, swimming and waterfront dining were favorite pastimes. The same holds true today.
