Paddling one of our canoes down the waters of Greenwood Lake might feel like a paddle back in time. Greenwood Lake’s resort era in the late 1800’s saw tourists arriving by train from New York City. These visitors would board one of the many passenger ferries and cruise to their Inn of choice along the the shores and coves of the lake. One of those ferries was the Arlington, owned and operated by the Greenwood Lake Transportation Company.
Paddle out today and you’ll encounter fishermen in the early morning or an occasional paddle boarder in the early evening. Enjoy the sunset, and come back to the Waterstone Inn’s Arlington room for a peaceful night of sleep.
